Been coming to Abbey cafe for two decades now. Seen it change hands a few times and has always provided Quality food at a good price. Brilliant atmosphere and the owner and local customers will indulge in all the local history of Selby town and its surrounding areas. The Building itself seems very medieval and adds character to its surroundings. Inside is always spotlessly clean and staff are always on hand to take your order, and if you want a buttie to go then you can always order a takeout as well. The best fry up in town and we are never disappointed. Sometimes you might order a breakfast, Dinner or brunch and leave with a friend and a story to tell.

Mega breakfast is superb, great value for money, bacon was delicious, lovely friendly and efficient staff. Low ceilings if tall so watch your head. Toilet upstairs. Pay/display parking directly outside and some 30 mins road parking slots. We'd definitely eat here again!

Wanted somewhere different for breakfast . Searched reviews and Abbey Cafe had great feedback , so we went . I was not disappointed !!! Fabulous hot breakfast on a hot plate ( makes all the difference) . Service was amazing . Breakfast ? Wow, bacon nice and thick and cooked to our request. Lovely black pudding and fresh funny eggs . Cannot praise this little cafe enough . Will defo be going again. Thank you
Lovely little cafe nestled in Selby. The food is excellent and great value for money. Adaptations to orders were considered and executed exactly as requested. Friendly and prompt service too. I will be back!
I visit this little gem on a regular basis. I was in the other day when the staff received their latest rating from Environmental Health and was really pleased for them when they received yet another 5* rating. The staff work really hard to keep the cafe clean, especially as it is a very old building, and the food served is always perfectly cooked. The cafe is popular and more often than not fairly busy but the staff endeavour to serve you as quickly as they can. I have never experienced anything other than a lovely visit in all the time I've been going.
Lovely little cafe. Delicious food, plenty of parking outside, Nice friendly staff Had shopper breakfast, 5.90(ish) was perfect! Comes with a pot of tea. Full Monty 7.90 delicious and well worth it. Will be back again.
